Planning permission granted for domestic extension in Bretforton Conservation Area

We have recently secured planning consent to extend a 1920's family dwelling in the historic Worcestershire village of Bretforton. The existing property comprises a living room and kitchen / dining room at ground floor level, with three bedrooms and small family bathroom at first floor level. The owners have a young, growing family and require additional space to meet their current needs and to future-proof the property to enable elderly relatives to live with them in the future. Our scheme will increase the floor area by 50%, adding a further double bedroom and family bathroom at first floor level, and a self-contained accessible annex at ground floor with guest bedroom, shower room and kitchenette. The new additions will feature a high-performance thermal envelope and passive on-site energy generation which will dramatically reduce the running costs and in-use carbon emissions of the existing dwelling.
