Architects Dyer were appointed in November 2018 to provide architectural design and project management services for the complete refurbishment of the hotel interiors to create a luxury boutique hotel and two unique apartments - the 'Signal House' and the 'Secret Suite'.

 

Gara Rock  was designed and delivered in association with international interior designers, House Nine, and was referred to in the Times's Cool Country Hotels Guide as the “Seaside hotel of the year".

The project had a number of unique challenges that are commonly associated with hotels of this nature - a remote location with difficult access, harsh weather conditions and limited local resources.  Despit these challenges the hotel was completed to a very high standard in 2018.
