The property lies within the Westmancote Conservation Area and has been sensitively designed to fit sympathetically within the existing historic village setting whilst providing a contemporary and comfortable internal layout.

The planning application faced spirited opposition from the local Parish Council however Architects Dyer successfully presented a reasoned case for the development and detailed planning consent was secured at planning committee in April 2023.
